Who we are


Azienda agrituristica Spazzavento


Our Agriturismo dates back to the XVIII Century when a few monks from Città della Pieve, decided to build here their country residence, to pray and contemplate. We can find some records in the historical archives and we know that in the 1700's, Spazzavento was related to Fighine, a castle nearby. Nowadays we can perceive the presence of the monks, in the chapel or with the cypresses avenue or in one of our apartments where we left the original doors with the room number where the monks slept.




Grandpa Girolamo Picchio, bought Spazzavento in 1924 and our dad Armando inherited it in 1964. We decided to convert it in an agriturism in the 1986.



We can see our cordiality in the happy faces of our customers. Here in Spazzavento they can find a relaxing holiday and a perfect departure to visit the Center of Italy. Spazzavento is surrounded by a lot of beautiful cities, a magnificent landscape and charming villages such as Cetona, san Casciano dei Bagni, Città della pieve, Siena or Perugia.
